Product Identity

This is a downloadable Steam code for Faces of War, a World War II real-time strategy game from 1C Online Games. It suits players who enjoy tactical squad-based combat across Allied, German and Russian campaigns. The product is new and delivered digitally with no physical media. Activation is restricted in several countries listed in the specifications.

Build Integration

The game requires a Windows 2000, XP, 7 or 8 operating system and a 2 GHz Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon processor with 512 MB RAM. A DirectX 9.0c compliant graphics card from the supported NVIDIA series is needed, with 3 GB of hard drive space. Online multiplayer is no longer supported; only LAN play functions. A Steam account and internet connection are required for activation.

Thermals and Power

As a software download the title adds no direct thermal load, fan noise or power draw beyond the host computer running the game. System requirements are modest by modern standards so most current hardware will run it well within normal thermal and acoustic limits. Power consumption depends entirely on the underlying PC components.

The sound card requirement is for audio compatibility only and does not affect system cooling or noise levels.

Do I need an existing Steam account to activate the 42396 code?

Yes, the DRM is Steam, so a Steam account is required to redeem the code and download the game.
