Expansion for strategy owners

Elven Legacy: Siege is a downloadable strategy expansion published by 1C Online Games. It requires the Steam version of the base game Elven Legacy to run. The product activates through Steam in supported regions only. Buyers without the original Steam release cannot use this code.

Steam DRM and region block

The expansion uses Steam DRM and carries a region lock covering AF, BY, CF, CD, CU, IR, IQ, KP, LB, LY, MM, RU, SO, SD, SY, UA, VE, YE, ZW and SS. Activation will fail if the account is registered in any of those countries. No other DRM layer or platform is involved.

Lightweight system footprint

Minimum specifications ask for a 1.5 GHz Pentium IV or AMD 2000+ single core with 512 MB RAM and a video card such as an nVidia GF FX 5700 or ATI Radeon 9600 with 128 MB VRAM. Recommended specs rise to a 2.4 GHz Pentium IV or AMD 3500+ at 2.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM and an nVidia GF 6800 or ATI Radeon R850XT with 256 MB VRAM. DirectX 9.0c and 3 GB of free disk space complete the requirements.

Questions about this item

Does the 3 GB install size mean I need extra space for saves and patches?

The 3 GB requirement covers the core installation. Steam will allocate additional space for save files and future updates, so keeping a few gigabytes free on the drive is advisable.

Since the DRM is Steam, does that mean the code activates only through the Steam client?

Yes. The online game code is redeemed in Steam, which then downloads the expansion and ties it to your Steam account.

Will the expansion run on a laptop with integrated graphics instead of the listed 128 MB dedicated video card?

The minimum spec calls for a dedicated card such as the nVidia GF FX 5700 or ATI Radeon 9600 with 128 MB VRAM. Integrated graphics that meet the DirectX 9.0c requirement may work but performance is not guaranteed.
