Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Owners of the listed Surface models needing a replacement or spare power supply with built-in short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection will find a direct fit. Buyers who require a higher-wattage unit for larger Surface devices or a USB-C power delivery connector should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification: 65W 15V 4A output

The charger provides 65W at 15V 4A, matching Microsoft model 1706, and also replaces earlier 44W 1800, 36W 1625 and 24W 1735 or 1736 adapters. Confirm your device uses the proprietary Surface Connect tip and requires 15V 4A before purchasing.
