Wide Acer Compatibility

Thermal Safety and Power Delivery

The adapter accepts 100 to 240V input at 50 to 60Hz and delivers 19V at 7.1A or 19.5V at 6.92A up to 135W. It is backward compatible with 90W 19V 4.74A units. Built-in smart chip circuitry provides over-current, over-voltage, over-load and short-circuit protection for stable operation.

Durable Cable and Travel Ready

A reinforced strain relief reduces cable fraying during daily connect and disconnect cycles. The compact brick and extended power cord allow flexible placement at a desk or in a bag. The package includes the adapter and a detachable AC power cord.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 5.5 mm by 1.7 mm barrel tip to my Acer Nitro 5, and which step do people often miss?

Align the purple or black tip with the laptop's DC-in jack and push straight in until it seats firmly; the step many miss is verifying the laptop shows a charging indicator before assuming the connection is solid.

What part of this 135 W adapter will need replacement first under daily use?

The detachable AC power cord and the barrel-tip strain relief are the wear items; the cord can be swapped for any standard IEC C7 lead, while a frayed tip means replacing the whole adapter.

At what sustained load does the 19 V 7.1 A output hit its thermal limit?

Continuous draw at the full 135 W rating will trigger the internal over-temperature protection first, causing the unit to shut down until it cools.
