3M 1205 Polyimide Film Tape Amber 2 in x 36 yd

High-Temperature Polyimide Tape

3M 1205 is an amber polyimide film tape built for electrical insulation that must survive extreme heat. It serves engineers and technicians who need reliable dielectric protection during soldering, masking or coil wrapping operations.

Acrylic Adhesive on Continuous Roll

The single-sided construction uses an acrylic adhesive that bonds firmly to metal, plastic and composite surfaces without leaving residue on removal. A continuous 36-yard roll lets you cut exact lengths for each job, reducing waste on the production line.

Rated from -40 to 311 Degrees F

The tape maintains adhesion and dielectric strength across a broad thermal window, staying stable through wave-solder cycles and thermal-shock testing. At 3 mil thickness it adds minimal bulk while resisting flame, solvents and abrasion in daily use.
