Precision scissors for detailed cutting

The Scotch 1448B model is built for users who need accurate trimming on photos, paper, cardstock and fabric. Stainless steel blades resist corrosion and stay sharp through repeated use. The design suits both right-handed and left-handed operators.

3-1/4 inch cut length defines the working range

This measurement sets the maximum single-stroke cut the blades can make. It matches tasks such as trimming prints, shaping craft pieces or slicing lightweight materials. Buyers who need longer continuous cuts will find the reach insufficient.

Soft-grip handles and brass pivot change daily use

The contoured grips reduce hand fatigue during extended sessions. A brass-and-steel pivot keeps blade alignment tight and the action smooth over time. No sheath, oil or sharpening tool is included in the package.

Questions about this item

What does the 3-1/4 inch cut length mean when I am trimming photos or cardstock?

It gives you a single-stroke cutting span of just over three inches, so you can trim standard photo widths or cardstock strips without repositioning the blades mid-cut.

How does the brass-and-stainless pivot affect the cutting action over time?

The mixed-metal pivot is designed to wear evenly, keeping the blades aligned for a smooth, consistent action even after extended use on fabrics and paper.

Will the 8 inch overall length fit in a typical desk organiser or craft drawer?

At eight inches total, the scissors sit comfortably in most standard desk caddies and shallow craft drawers without protruding.
