PE Foam Mounting Tape

This 1600T double-sided tape uses a PE foam core measuring .39 inch wide by 16.5 feet long and 1.1 mm thick. It is designed for general-purpose mounting on walls, outdoor surfaces and smooth substrates where a strong, waterproof bond is required. The adhesive reaches handling strength immediately after pressure is applied.

Replaces Mechanical Fasteners

The tape can replace rivets, screws, welding or liquid adhesives, eliminating drilling, grinding and clean-up. Bond strength reaches 50 percent after 20 minutes, 90 percent after 24 hours and 100 percent after 72 hours. The jump is worth it when a permanent, virtually invisible fastening method is preferred over visible hardware.

Build Integration

The tape bonds to aluminum, painted walls, glass, plastic and other smooth, clean, dry surfaces. It provides 90-degree peel adhesion of 11 lb/in² and overlap shear strength of 78 lb/in on aluminum. Not recommended for painted walls less than 7 days old; heat with a hair dryer for damage-free removal.
