Product Identity

3M Temflex 1755 is a black cotton cloth friction tape designed for electrical insulating and mechanical protection. It serves electricians and maintenance technicians who need a reliable wrap for splicing, harnessing and general cable management tasks. The rubber-based adhesive bonds without a separate coating layer.

Build Integration

The 3/4 inch width and 60 foot length suit standard hand-wrapping workflows on wire gauges common in residential and light commercial work. Operating between 15 and 176 degrees Fahrenheit, it remains flexible in cold environments and stable near heat sources. The 600 volt rating covers typical low-voltage control and power circuits.

Bundled Value

Each roll arrives as a continuous 13 mil thick strip, eliminating the need to join shorter pieces during long harness runs. The double-sided adhesive construction allows the tape to stick to itself cleanly when overlapped, reducing bulk at splice points. No additional dispensers or primers are included in the package.

Questions about this item

How does the 13 mil thickness hold up when the tape is stretched tight for hours?

The 13 mil cotton cloth resists abrasion and keeps its shape under tension without splitting.

Will the rubber adhesive stay tacky at the 176 °F upper limit during continuous operation?

The adhesive is rated to 176 °F, so it remains secure through a full day at that temperature.

Does the 600 V rating cover the circuit I plan to insulate without extra sleeving?

At 600 V the tape provides primary insulation; no additional sleeving is required for circuits within that rating.
