3M 2071 P95 Bayonet Filter
This NIOSH-approved P95 filter captures at least 95 percent of airborne particles and oil-based aerosols. It uses a bayonet connection that locks onto 3M 5000, 6000 and 7000 series facepieces as well as the FF-400 series. The blue housing identifies the P95 rating at a glance. Supplied in a pack of two for immediate replacement.
Thermals noise and power
Passive filtration produces no heat, noise or electrical draw during normal wear. Breathing resistance remains low so the wearer does not experience added thermal load from the filter itself. The lightweight disk adds minimal mass to the respirator assembly. No external power source is required for operation.
Sustained load behaviour
Under continuous exposure the filter media loads gradually, increasing breathing resistance until the service limit is reached. NIOSH P95 certification confirms performance against oil aerosols for the rated service time. Replace both filters when breathing becomes difficult or according to your site respiratory programme. The bayonet mount stays secure throughout extended shifts.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 2071 filter on my 5000 series respirator and what step do people often miss?
Align the bayonet lugs, twist until the filter clicks into the locked position, then perform a user seal check before entering the work area.
When should I replace the 2071 P95 filter during regular use?
Replace the filter when breathing resistance becomes uncomfortable, if the filter is damaged or soiled, or after 40 hours of oil aerosol exposure.
What limits how long I can wear the 2071 filter continuously in a hot environment?
Heat and humidity inside the facepiece increase breathing resistance and discomfort, which typically limits continuous wear before a break is needed.
