12-inch 468MP transfer tape

This 3M adhesive transfer tape comes in a 12-inch by 5-yard continuous roll. It suits assembly, manufacturing, automotive, aviation, construction, electronics, maintenance, healthcare and warehouse tasks. The clear film carries a general-purpose acrylic adhesive on a release liner.

Temperature range from -40 to 400 °F

The tape maintains bond strength across a wide service window of -40 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It replaces mechanical fasteners or liquid adhesives where a thin, clean bond line is needed. The jump is worth it when vibration damping, gap filling or a fastener-free appearance matters.

Liner removal requires clean surfaces

Peel the liner and apply firm pressure for full wet-out; dust, oil or moisture cause immediate adhesion loss. Repositioning is not practical once contact is made. Edge lifting occurs if the substrate is not fully cured or if stretch is applied during installation.

Questions about this item

What width roll do I need for the 3M 468MP adhesive transfer tape?

The roll is 12 inches wide, so ensure your application surface accommodates that width before unrolling.

How do I apply the 468MP transfer tape without trapping air bubbles?

Apply firm, even pressure across the full 12-inch width using a roller or squeegee; the adhesive bonds on contact so repositioning is not possible.

Will the 468MP tape need replacement if used in a high-heat automotive assembly?

It withstands continuous temperatures up to 400 °F and down to -40 °F, so it should not degrade under normal automotive hood conditions.
