Polyurethane Sealant in 20 oz Sausage Pack

The 3M 540 is a one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant supplied in a gray 20 oz sausage pack. It forms permanently elastic bonds on plastics, FRP, SMC, aluminum, steel, coated metal and wood. Designed for sealing lap seams on trucks, trailers, vans, RVs and construction panels.

Suited for high-movement joints needing flexibility

Professionals sealing transportation or construction panel seams will value the permanent elasticity and broad substrate adhesion. The thick paste viscosity supports vertical joints without sag. Buyers needing a cartridge format or a cure time shorter than 24 hours should look at alternative packaging or chemistries.

Sausage pack enables bulk application

The 20 oz sausage pack suits high-volume use with compatible bulk guns, reducing waste compared to smaller cartridges. A 20-minute bonding range allows tooling time before the 24-hour full cure. Low 112 VOC content and a -40 to 194 °F service range support compliance and durability in varied climates.
