  • Bayonet connection enables quick cartridge attachment
  • Designed for painting, chemical handling, pharmaceutical work
  • Supplied as a pair of filter cartridges

Organic Vapor Cartridge Pair

The 3M 6001 cartridges are a pair of NIOSH-approved filters designed to fit 3M 6000 and 7000 series facepieces. They protect against organic vapors encountered in painting, chemical handling and pharmaceutical work. The bayonet mount allows quick, secure attachment for extended wear.

Workers needing organic vapor protection

These cartridges suit professionals who require respiratory defence against organic vapors while using compatible 3M half or full facepieces. They do not protect workers who need filtration for acid gases, ammonia, formaldehyde or particulates unless a separate pre-filter is added. Buyers without a 3M 6000 or 7000 series facepiece cannot use them.

6000 and 7000 series bayonet fit

The decisive specification is the bayonet connection that locks exclusively onto 3M 6000 and 7000 series respirators. No other brand or series will accept these cartridges, so confirming the facepiece model is the only step required before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 6001 cartridges for my 6000 series facepiece or do I need a different model for the 7000 series?

The 6001 cartridges fit both 6000 and 7000 series facepieces using the bayonet connection, so one pair works with either series.

What protection does the NIOSH-approved organic vapor rating give me when I am painting or handling chemicals?

The cartridges absorb airborne organic vapors, shielding you from those contaminants during painting, chemical handling or pharmaceutical work when the facepiece is properly fitted.

How does the bayonet attachment affect filter changes on the job?

The bayonet holders let you twist the cartridges on and off quickly and securely, so you can swap them without tools while maintaining a reliable seal.
