3M 60928 Filter Yellow Magenta Bayonet PK2 traffic safety equipment

Respiratory Protection for Hazardous Environments

The 3M 60928 combination cartridge and filter provides NIOSH-rated protection against acid gases, organic vapours and particulates. It is designed for workers who need a single bayonet-mounted unit that covers multiple airborne hazards at once. The magenta and yellow colour coding identifies the specific protection classes instantly. Two cartridges are supplied in each pack.

Upgrading from Single-Hazard Cartridges

This product replaces separate acid-gas and particulate filters when both hazards are present simultaneously. The jump is worth it whenever a job site exposes the wearer to organic vapours and solid or liquid aerosols together. It eliminates the need to stack multiple cartridges on the same facepiece. Users who only face one hazard type do not need this combined rating.

Bayonet Fit on 3M 6000 7000 FF-400 Series

Installation uses a quarter-turn bayonet connection that locks onto compatible 3M half and full facepieces. Alignment marks on the cartridge and respirator body confirm a secure seal before use. The most common issue is failing to engage the bayonet lugs fully, which leaves a leak path. A positive-pressure fit check after fitting catches this error every time.
