Medium half-face respirator kit

The 3M 6000 Series assembly includes a reusable 6291 facepiece in medium size and two 2091 P100 particulate filters. It is NIOSH approved for certain oil and non-oil based particles. The bayonet fixing system allows quick filter changes and compatibility with a wide range of 3M cartridges. This kit is designed for respiratory protection in industrial and trade environments.

Suited for welding, brazing and lead exposure

The respirator helps protect against lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic and MDA at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit when properly fitted. Workers needing protection from gases, vapours or combination hazards should look at alternative cartridge configurations. The medium facepiece may not seal correctly on users who require a small or large size.

P100 particulate filtration rating

The included 2091 filters provide a P100 classification for oil and non-oil based particulates. This single specification determines whether the assembly matches the contaminant type and regulatory requirement for the job. California Proposition 65 warning applies.

Questions about this item

What does the 10-times PEL rating mean when I am wearing this respirator on the job?

It means the assembly is NIOSH approved to help protect against listed oil and non-oil particles at concentrations up to ten times the permissible exposure limit when properly fitted.

How does the 3M bayonet filter fixing system limit which filters I can use?

The bayonet mount only accepts 3M filters designed for the 6000 series, so you must choose compatible 3M cartridges or particulate filters such as the included 2091 P100 units.

What does the medium 6291 facepiece need to seal correctly on my face?

The medium half facepiece uses adjustable head straps and a soft nose bridge that must be tightened evenly so the silicone skirt seals against clean-shaven skin all around the nose and chin.
