3M 9019 All-Purpose Sandpaper Assortment 6 Pack

3M 9019 Sandpaper Assortment for Wood and Metal

This six-pack contains assorted-grit aluminum oxide production sheets sized at 3-2/3" x 9". It is intended for hand or block sanding of wood and metal surfaces. The variety of grits lets you progress from material removal to final smoothing without changing products. Homeowners and tradespeople can keep a single pack for multiple finishing tasks.

Practical limits of coated abrasive sheets

Cutting speed drops as the grit wears, so heavy stock removal requires frequent sheet changes. Aluminum oxide grains dull faster on hardened steels than ceramic or zirconia alternatives. The paper backing tears if used with power sanders that exceed its tensile strength. Wet sanding is not recommended because the adhesive breaks down in water. Buyers who need waterproof backing or machine-grade durability should select a different product.
