3M 907 All-Purpose Sanding Sponge Extra Fine Fine

3M 907 Dual-Grade Sanding Sponge

The 3M 907 is a hand-held abrasive sponge designed for dry or wet sanding on wood, paint, metal, plastic and drywall. It combines extra-fine and fine grades in one block so the user can progress through finishing steps without changing tools. The sponge construction conforms to contours and small areas where sheet abrasives are awkward. Rinsing clears debris for repeated use.

When to choose this over sheets or blocks

This sponge replaces separate sheets or rigid blocks when the work involves curves, edges or tight corners that demand a flexible backing. The jump is worth it if you need two grits in a single piece for spot repairs or detail finishing. It is not suited for high-volume stock removal on large flat surfaces where a power sander with sheet abrasive is faster. Buyers who need aggressive cutting grades or full-sheet dimensions should look elsewhere.
