3M BFV14-6Q Fork Terminal

The 3M BFV14-6Q is a vinyl-insulated fork terminal built for 14 AWG wire and a #6 stud. It suits electricians and technicians making crimp connections in automotive, marine or industrial wiring jobs. The blue colour coding matches standard 14 AWG identification for quick visual checks.

600 V rating and CSA/UL listing

This terminal carries a 600 V maximum voltage rating and is both CSA certified and UL listed. That dual approval is the single specification that confirms it meets North American safety requirements for the intended circuit voltage.

Crimp tool compatibility and barrel design

The butted-seam, funnel-entry barrel measures 0.25 in long and works with crimp tools such as the TH-440, TH-450 or TR-490. Correct tooling creates a reliable gas-tight joint, while the vinyl sleeve insulates the connection up to 221 °F without needing separate heat-shrink tubing.

Questions about this item

How does the 14 AWG rating translate when the terminal is crimped onto a wire in the harness?

The terminal accepts a single 14 AWG conductor and the funnel barrel guides the strands into the .25 in barrel for a secure crimp.

What does the 600 V rating mean for the insulation when the circuit is live?

The vinyl insulation is rated for 600 V and UL listed, so it will withstand that voltage continuously in approved applications.

Will the #6 stud fork fit on a standard terminal block without modification?

Yes, the fork tongue is sized for a #6 stud and the butted seam allows it to slide onto the post before the mounting screw is tightened.
