Adhesive-lined polyolefin tubing shrinks 3:1 to seal 16–12 AWG wires, resisting abrasion, chemicals and temperatures from –67 °F to 230 °F
This pack contains twelve individual pieces of 3M EPS300 tubing, each 48 inches long with a 0.25 inch inside diameter before shrinking. The 3:1 ratio reduces the bore to 0.08 inch after heating, sealing 16 to 12 AWG wires with a 0.02 inch recovered wall. Black polyolefin construction provides abrasion and chemical resistance for automotive and electrical repairs.
The adhesive lining melts at 250 degrees F and bonds to the conductor insulation, creating a moisture barrier that remains intact across a continuous operating range of -67 to 230 degrees F. Flame-retardant polyolefin resists degradation during long-term exposure to engine-bay heat, vibration and fluid splash without the cracking seen in non-adhesive thin-wall sleeves.
A standard heat gun or butane torch applies the 250-degree-F minimum shrink temperature evenly along the 4-foot length; the thin wall recovers quickly so rework is simple if positioning shifts. The main failure mode is insufficient heat, which leaves the adhesive unactivated and the seal incomplete, so verify full recovery before returning the harness to service.

The minimum shrink temperature is 250 degrees F, so a standard heat gun on low or medium setting will activate the adhesive liner and shrink the tube to its final size.
The tubing is rated for 16 AWG to 12 AWG wires, covering common automotive and household electrical repair sizes.
After shrinking, the 0.08 inch inside diameter and 0.02 inch wall create a tight seal; measure your connector bodies to confirm they pass through before heating.
