18-Inch Freestanding Copyholder

The 3M DH640 is a freestanding document holder designed for desk-based workers who need to reference papers while typing. It sits between the monitor and keyboard to reduce head, neck and eye movement during data-entry tasks.

Sustained Document Handling

The transparent 18-inch backplate supports wide or heavy stacks without blocking the lower edge of the monitor. An elastic line-guide keeps up to 300 sheets aligned during extended sessions, while the grooved ledge prevents pages from slipping.

Thermals Noise and Power

As a passive plastic accessory, the copyholder draws no power and produces no noise or heat. A skid-free base keeps the unit stable on the desk surface without requiring any electrical connection.

Questions about this item

Does the 18-inch backplate stay stable when the desk vibrates all day?

The skid-free base keeps the holder from sliding, and the grooved ledge grips documents so they do not shift during continuous use.

What desk space is needed for the holder to sit between my monitor and keyboard?

An 18-inch wide clear area in front of the monitor is required; the freestanding design rests on the desk without clamps or wall mounts.

Can the elastic line-guide still hold pages if I keep a thick reference binder on the same surface?

The line-guide secures up to 300 sheets on the backplate, while the nonslip ledge supports heavier items placed beside it without interfering.
