3M ITCSN-1500 is a cross-linked polyolefin heat-shrink tube with an adhesive liner that seals against moisture and corrosion. The 3:1 shrink ratio reduces the inside diameter from 1.5 in to .5 in while the wall thickens to .17 in. Each black piece is 9 in long and the pack contains 10 pieces for automotive or industrial cable repairs.

Temperature and Shrink Constraints

The tubing operates continuously from -67 Degrees to 230 Degrees F and resists abrasion, acids, alkalis and UV light. A 3:1 ratio requires sufficient heat to reach full recovery; open-flame or uncontrolled heat sources can scorch the adhesive before the wall shrinks evenly. It fits wire sizes from 3/0 AWG to 400 MCM only; smaller conductors will not fill the recovered diameter.

Replaces Tape and Standard Tubing
