Adhesive-lined polyolefin heat-shrink tubing with a 2.5:1 shrink ratio, 12 pieces each 48 inches long, covering 6 AWG to 1 AWG wire and rated to 600 V
This adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing is built for electricians and technicians who need sealed, insulated splices on wires from 6 AWG to 1 AWG. The polyolefin material resists acids and alkalis while the inner adhesive melts to block moisture and contaminants. It suits automotive, industrial and marine wiring jobs where a reliable environmental seal is required. It is not for buyers who need a higher shrink ratio or a larger inside diameter than 0.5 in.
The tubing activates at a minimum shrink temperature of 275 Degrees F and remains stable across an operating range of -67 Degrees to 230 Degrees F. Once recovered, the wall thickness measures 0.04 in and the inside diameter shrinks to 0.2 in, delivering a consistent 2.5:1 ratio. Dielectric strength is rated at 600 V, so the sleeve maintains insulation integrity under normal electrical loads. No moving parts or active cooling are involved, so noise and power draw are not applicable.
The pack contains 12 individual pieces, each 48 in long, giving a total of 48 ft of black tubing for multiple repairs or production runs. No additional tools, dispensers or software are included, so users must supply their own heat source such as a heat gun or torch. The individual-piece packaging keeps each length clean and ready for cutting to the exact length needed on the job.

Slide the .5 in tube over the wire, apply heat evenly until it shrinks to .2 in at a minimum of 275 Degrees F, and let the adhesive cool fully before moving the joint — skipping the cool-down step leaves the seal weak.
The polyolefin tube with adhesive lining is a single-use seal; inspect for cracks or adhesive breakdown if exposed beyond the -67 to 230 Degrees F range, and replace the entire 4 ft piece if the 600 V dielectric rating is compromised.
Continuous operation near the 230 Degrees F upper temperature limit will degrade the adhesive bond and thin wall before the 2.5:1 shrink ratio or 600 V dielectric strength becomes an issue.
