Adhesive-lined polyolefin tubing shrinks 2.5:1 from .75 in to .31 in, sealing 4 AWG to 3/0 AWG wires at up to 600 V
3M MW thin-wall polyolefin tubing comes in four-foot black pieces with an inner adhesive layer. It shrinks at a 2.5:1 ratio from .75 inch to .31 inch inside diameter, leaving a .04-inch wall. The material is semi-rigid and rated for 600 V dielectric strength.
The tubing fits wire from 4 AWG to 3/0 AWG and requires a minimum shrink temperature of 275 degrees F. Ensure your heat gun or torch can reach that temperature and that the wire gauge falls within the stated range for a proper seal.
The inner adhesive melts during shrinking to block moisture, acid and alkali exposure across a -67 to 230 degree F range. Individual-piece packaging lets you cut exact lengths without waste from a continuous spool.

The package contains five individual pieces of black polyolefin tubing, each four feet long with a 0.75 in. inside diameter before shrinking. A heat source capable of reaching at least 275 °F is required to activate the adhesive-lined shrink; a suitable heat gun is not included.
This tubing is specified for 4 AWG to 3/0 AWG wire with a 2.5 : 1 shrink ratio, reducing from 0.75 in. to 0.31 in. inside diameter. Select a different size only if your conductor falls outside that wire-range or if you need a different recovered wall thickness than the 0.04 in. provided here.
After shrinking, the 0.04 in. wall provides a dielectric strength of 600 V and operates continuously from -67 °F to 230 °F. The adhesive lining bonds to the insulation, sealing out moisture and resisting acid and alkali while maintaining that voltage rating across the stated temperature range.
