Filter Cover for TR-600 and TR-6700 Series

The 3M Versaflo TR-6700FC is a hard-plastic filter cover designed for use with TR-600 and TR-6700 series powered air purifying respirators. It secures the filter element within the assembly, forming part of the respiratory protection system for industrial and automotive environments. Workers requiring compatible PPE components for these specific units will use this cover. It does not suit respirator models outside the listed series or filter configurations that require a different mounting interface.

Sustained Protection in Contaminated Air

Under continuous operation the cover maintains its structural integrity, keeping the filter sealed against the motor blower housing throughout a full shift. The rigid plastic construction resists deformation when exposed to the steady airflow and vibration produced by the TR-600 or TR-6700 unit during extended wear. This stability prevents bypass leakage that could compromise protection over time. The cover does not incorporate a filter medium itself; a separate approved filter cartridge must be installed for contaminant capture.

Does the hard-plastic cover get hot during continuous use with a TR-600 unit?

The cover is passive hard plastic with no electronics, so it does not generate heat; any warmth comes from the powered respirator it protects.

Which respirator models must I already own for this cover to fit?

It is designed for the TR-600 and TR-6700 series powered air-purifying respirators.
