2 mm Extended Needle Test Probes for Fluke TL71
These probes are designed for technicians who need to pierce wire insulation without cutting it. The nickel-plated copper needles connect to Fluke TL71 or TL75 test leads and handle up to 600 V and 10 A under CAT II conditions. Four probes are supplied in red and black for clear phase identification.
Replaces standard probe tips when non-destructive
Swapping to these needles lets you reach conductors inside intact insulation, saving repair time on automotive and low-voltage control circuits. The upgrade is worthwhile whenever the circuit must stay live and resealing the jacket afterward is impractical or undesirable.
Rated for CAT II 600 V
The 3.38" overall length gives enough reach for tight harnesses while the 2 mm shank fits standard multimeter connectors and the end accepts a 4 mm banana plug. Headroom ends at the 600 V or 10 A limit; they are not suited for CAT III or CAT IV environments or for currents above the rated value.

Questions about this item
Will the 2 mm needle fit straight into a Fluke TL71 or TL75 test lead?
Yes, the 2 mm connector inserts directly into the Fluke TL71 and TL75 leads and the end also accepts a 4 mm banana plug.
What is the correct way to seat the probe so the needle does not bend?
Push the probe fully into the 2 mm socket until the handle shoulder meets the lead, then pierce the insulation with a straight, steady motion.
How often should I replace the 1.41 inch stainless needle tips?
Replace any tip that shows blunting, corrosion or a cracked nickel-plated copper shaft to maintain CAT II 600 V 10 A rating.
