What this cord replaces

This replacement power cord fits a wide range of percolators and small appliances that use a two-pin connector with half-inch centre-to-centre spacing. It is rated 18 AWG, 125 V and 10 A, and the lead measures three feet in length. The package contains a single cord.

Capacity and headroom

The 18 AWG conductors and 10 A rating give comfortable headroom for typical percolator heating elements and similar low-wattage appliances. It will not support devices that draw more than ten amps or that require a three-pin grounded connection. Appliances with a different pin spacing or a higher current draw need a different cord.

Thermals noise and power draw

The cord runs cool and silent because it carries only the current the appliance demands, with no active components of its own. Power draw is entirely determined by the connected device, and the three-foot length adds negligible resistance at this gauge. No fan noise or thermal management is involved.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/2" pin spacing on this cord match the inlet on my older Farberware 122 percolator?

Yes, the cord is built with 1/2" centre-to-centre hole spacing and 7mm between the inside edges, which matches the 2-pin inlet on Farberware 122, 122B, 134, 138, 142, 145 and other listed models.

How can I confirm the cord is delivering the rated 125V 10A after I plug it in?

The percolator or grill should heat normally without the plug or cord warming excessively; a secure fit in the 1/2" spaced inlet and steady operation indicate the 18 AWG conductors are carrying the rated current.

Does the package include anything besides the 3ft 2-pin cord itself?

The package contains only the single 3ft replacement power cord; no additional adapters, connectors or hardware are supplied.
