8-Port HDMI 4K Splitter

The 4XEM 4XHDMI84K2K distributes one HDMI source to eight displays simultaneously. It supports 4K2K resolution for commercial signage, education spaces or multi-room installations. The unit weighs 1.25 and has been listed since 2021. Buyers who require more than eight outputs or need integrated scaling between outputs should consider a matrix switcher instead.

Capacity and headroom

Eight output ports provide ample headroom for standard video-wall arrays or distributed signage loops. Each port passes the same 4K2K signal without compression, so the splitter runs out of capacity only when the source cannot drive the required cable lengths or when additional source switching is needed. The 1.25 weight reflects a compact metal chassis suited to rack or shelf mounting.

Upgrade path

This splitter replaces single-output extenders or smaller two- and four-port splitters when a project grows beyond their port count. The jump is worth it when an installer moves from point-to-point distribution to a centralised hub serving eight zones. It does not add source switching, so systems that need multiple inputs still require a separate matrix device.

Questions about this item

Will this 8-port splitter pass a 4K signal to my older 1080p displays without manual switching?

The unit distributes the incoming HDMI signal to all eight outputs simultaneously, so each connected display receives the same 4K2K source; 1080p screens will downscale automatically.

How can I confirm the 4XHDMI84K2K is distributing video correctly after I connect it?

Power the splitter, attach the source and up to eight displays, then verify that every screen shows an identical image at the expected resolution.

Does the 1.25 kg box include eight HDMI cables or must I buy them separately?

The package contains the 8-port splitter and its power supply; HDMI cables for the source and each display are not included.
