165 ft HDMI 2.0 active cable

This 165 ft active HDMI 2.0 cable uses 28 AWG conductors to deliver 4K 60 Hz video over a 50 m run. The active circuitry compensates for signal loss at this length. It is built for in-wall installation where standard passive cables would fail. The male-to-male connectors plug directly into source and display.

Installers needing long in-wall runs

This cable suits AV installers and home-theatre builders who must route a single HDMI link through walls or conduit up to 165 ft. It is not for users who need multiple connector types, Ethernet channel support, or a thinner passive cable for short desktop connections. Buyers requiring higher refresh rates at 4K or 8K resolution should look at other specifications.

Active circuitry enables the distance

The embedded active electronics boost the TMDS signal so 4K 60 Hz remains stable across the full 50 m without an external power supply. This removes the need for separate extenders or fibre converters in many installs. The 28 AWG gauge keeps the cable flexible enough to pull through standard conduit while meeting in-wall fire ratings.

Questions about this item

What source resolution and refresh rate must my device output for the 4K 60Hz signal to reach the display over this 165ft cable?

The source must send a 4K 60Hz signal that complies with HDMI 2.0 so the active electronics can equalise it across the full 50 metre run.

Will a legacy 1080p-only display still show an image when connected through this 28AWG active cable?

Yes — the cable carries any HDMI 2.0-compatible format, so a 1080p display will negotiate its native resolution and work normally.

How can I verify the link is stable after installing the 50m cable inside a wall?

Confirm the display reports 4K at 60Hz with no drop-outs, sparkles or HDCP errors during extended playback.
