Portable PA speaker for crowd communication

The 5 Core 8R-USB WoB is a 30W handheld megaphone that projects voice up to 800 yards. It is built for coaches, event staff, safety officers and anyone who must be heard across large outdoor spaces without straining their voice.

Recording, siren and USB input extend its use

An 8-second voice recorder lets you capture a message once and replay it repeatedly. A built-in siren mode provides an instant alert tone for emergencies or crowd control. USB and SD card slots allow playback of external audio files through the speaker.

Four D-cell batteries required, not included

The unit draws power from four type D batteries that are not supplied in the package. Without them the megaphone cannot operate, so buyers must source cells separately before first use.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the four D-cell batteries that power the 30W megaphone?

Battery life depends on how loudly and how long you run the 30W speaker; with four D cells the unit weighs 1.6 lb, so carry spares for all-day events.

What stops the 800-yard voice projection from going farther during a long cheerleading rally?

The 30W amplifier and the four D-cell supply set the practical limit; as battery voltage drops the 800-yard range will shrink.

Does the 30W megaphone get hot or noisy if I leave the siren running continuously?

The 1.6 lb, 6.3×6.4×10.3 in enclosure has no fan; extended siren use will warm the case but it stays hand-portable.
