Electric Guitar Strings Extra Light Gauge

These strings are built for electric guitar players who prefer an extra light gauge set. The high-carbon steel core with nickel winding delivers a bright, clear tone suitable for both daily practice and live stage performances. The set includes six strings with gauges .009, .011, .016, .024, .032, and .042.

Hexagonal Steel Core With Nickel Winding

The hexagonal core design provides extra strength and tuning stability across all six strings. Computer-controlled winding ensures even wrap and consistent tension for reliable performance. An anti-corrosion coating protects against sweat and humidity to extend string life.

Suited For Players Wanting Easy Bending

Guitarists who need heavier tension for drop tunings or a thicker bass output should look at different gauge sets. This extra light configuration prioritises smooth feel and effortless playability for fast riffs and melodic solos. Buyers requiring acoustic guitar strings or bass guitar strings will need a different product type.

Questions about this item

How does the .009-.042 gauge range feel when installed on an electric guitar?

The extra-light set runs from .009 to .042 inches, giving low tension that makes bending and fast fretting noticeably easier across all six strings.

What does the nickel-wound exterior over a hexagonal steel core actually do for the signal?

The nickel wrap on a hex core produces a bright, crisp tone with punchy mids and smooth highs while keeping tuning stable during heavy playing.

Will the 9 x 6 x 3 inch package fit through a standard letterbox without bending the strings?

The box measures 9 by 6 by 3 inches, so it exceeds typical letterbox depth and should be delivered as a parcel rather than posted through the door.
