Dual USB car charger for phones and tablets

The adapter plugs into a 12-18V cigarette lighter socket and provides two USB ports for simultaneous charging. It supports a wide range of smartphones and tablets across Android and iOS platforms. A soft blue indicator light helps locate the ports in low-light conditions. The compact, all-metal body is built from flame-retardant materials for durability.

Sustained 24W shared output

The unit delivers a total of 24W or 4.8A shared across both ports, with each port capable of supplying up to 2.4A. Intelligent circuitry identifies connected devices to optimise charging efficiency throughout the session. Protection circuits guard against overheating, over-current, overcharging and short circuits continuously. Charging automatically stops when a device battery reaches full capacity.

24W total output decides suitability

The 24W shared limit means two tablets charging together will draw less current per port than a single tablet alone. Buyers needing faster proprietary charging protocols should note that Qualcomm Quick Charge is not supported. The adapter fits standard 12-18V vehicle sockets without modification. It is not intended for devices requiring higher voltage or dedicated fast-charge standards.

Questions about this item

Does the 12–18 V input and 24 W shared output make the charger run hot on long trips?

The flame-retardant body and built-in over-heating protection keep temperatures in check during continuous use.

My car only has a standard 12 V cigarette lighter socket — will that power both ports at once?

Yes, the adapter accepts 12–18 V input and delivers up to 4.8 A shared across the two USB ports.

Will my older phone that only draws 1 A charge correctly alongside a newer tablet on the second port?

Each smart port detects the connected device and supplies up to 2.4 A, so both legacy and current devices charge at their optimal rate.
