Handheld XLR Dynamic Mic for Stage

The 5 Core ND 909 Chrome is a cardioid dynamic microphone built with a metal body and reinforced grille. It uses a neodymium magnet to deliver a 50 to 16000 Hz frequency response. A 300 Ohm impedance and standard XLR to 1/4 inch connection suit live vocals and karaoke.

Suits Singers Needing Rugged Simplicity

This microphone fits performers who want an on/off switch on the handle and a pop filter to reduce plosives. The package includes a carry case, mic holder and cable. Users requiring phantom power, USB output, condenser sensitivity or studio-grade flat response should look elsewhere.

Cardioid Pattern Rejects Off-Axis Sound

The unidirectional pickup captures audio from the front while suppressing ambient noise. This pattern decides if the mic matches your stage or recording setup. Check that your mixer or amplifier accepts a 300 Ohm XLR source before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How often will the XLR-to-1/4-inch cable need replacing with daily stage use?

The supplied XLR cord is a standard wired connection; replace it only if the plug or shielding shows physical wear from repeated plugging and unplugging.

What limits the ND 909 Chrome's output level before distortion during a long karaoke session?

The 300 Ohm impedance and cardioid dynamic capsule set the headroom; pushing the gain too far on the mixer will clip before the microphone itself distorts.

Does the metal body and neodymium magnet make the mic run hot or add handling noise after hours of use?

The all-metal housing and neodymium magnet are passive components, so they generate no heat and add no self-noise during extended operation.
