What this speaker is

The 5 Core SUH-150 is a compact PA horn speaker built for public-address and siren use. Its rectangular horn design projects voice and alarm tones clearly across indoor or outdoor spaces.

The spec that decides fit

Frequency response runs from 400 Hz to 5 kHz with an 8-ohm impedance and 102 dB SPL. This range targets speech and siren bands, so music reproduction will lack low bass and high treble detail.

Thermals noise and power

Rated at 20 watts continuous power with a 100-volt line-matching transformer for level adjustment. The ABS plastic horn and aluminium clamp dissipate heat passively, keeping the driver cool during extended paging or alarm duty.

Questions about this item

How loud will the 102 dB SPL rating actually be when the horn is mounted in a real installation?

At 102 dB SPL the horn delivers very high output suitable for paging, siren or background music across large indoor or outdoor areas, provided it is driven with the rated 20 watts.

What does the 8 ohm impedance and 100 volt line-matching transformer mean for amplifier compatibility?

The 8 ohm nominal impedance allows direct connection to standard low-impedance amplifiers, while the built-in transformer lets you tap the speaker onto a 100 volt distributed line for long cable runs.

What mounting hardware is included and what are the physical dimensions for fitting the horn?

A heavy-duty aluminium clamp and mounting bracket are supplied; the horn measures 6 inches high, 10 inches wide and 10.5 inches deep.
