Wireless PC and Android controller

The 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C is a wireless gamepad built for Windows 10 (1903) and above plus Android 9.0 and above. It connects through a 2.4G adapter or a one-metre USB cable on Windows and switches to Bluetooth for Android. A 480mAh battery pack charges in two hours. The package includes the controller, the 2.4G adapter, the cable and a manual.

Best for low-latency play.

Competitive players who want a 1000Hz polling rate on both 2.4G and wired links will benefit from the responsive input. Hall effect joysticks and triggers with metal rings resist wear over long sessions. Extra R4 and L4 bumpers add remappable controls without opening software. Buyers who need native Switch or PlayStation support should look at something else because this model targets Windows and Android only.

Hall effect sticks decide the fit

The defining specification is the Hall effect joystick and trigger pair, which replaces traditional potentiometers with contactless magnetic sensing to eliminate drift and extend lifespan. If drift-free aiming and durable triggers are the priority, this controller matches that need. If analogue stick technology is not a deciding factor, other features such as the 1000Hz rate or extra bumpers can guide the choice.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2.4G wireless mode or the wired connection for Windows?

Both the 2.4G and wired connections deliver a 1000Hz polling rate on Windows 10 1903 and above, so latency is identical; choose wireless for freedom or wired to save the 480mAh battery.

What does the 1000Hz polling rate actually do while I am playing?

It sends stick and button data to the PC one thousand times per second, cutting input lag to roughly one millisecond on both 2.4G and wired links.

How does Bluetooth on Android differ from the 2.4G link on Windows?

Bluetooth works with Android 9.0 and above but does not reach the 1000Hz polling rate that the 2.4G adapter provides on Windows.
