Eight 16 GB DDR3 1066 ECC registered DIMMs add 128 GB to 2009 or 2010 eight-core Mac Pro towers
This 128GB kit supplies eight 16GB DDR3 1066 registered ECC modules built for the early 2009 8-core Mac Pro and the mid 2010 8-core Mac Pro. It matches the Apple order numbers MB535LL/A and MC561LL/A and the model identifiers MacPro4,1 and MacPro5,1.
The memory fits only the listed 8-core Mac Pro configurations from 2009 and 2010. Builders using other Mac Pro models, different core counts, or non-Apple workstations cannot use this kit. Buyers who need unbuffered DIMMs or a different speed grade should look elsewhere.
Each module is a 240-pin DDR3 1066 (PC3-8500) registered ECC DIMM running at 1.50V with a 4Rx4 organisation. The Mac Pro memory controller requires registered ECC RDIMMs; unbuffered or non-ECC memory will not function in these systems.
