A 16 GB DDR4 kit with four 4 GB SODIMM modules at 2400 MHz for the 27‑inch iMac from 2017
This 16 GB kit contains four 4 GB DDR4 2400 SODIMM modules built for the 27 inch iMac released in mid 2017. It matches the factory specification for model identifier iMac18,3 and order numbers MNE92LL/A, MNEA2LL/A and MNED2LL/A. Owners of that exact machine can fill every slot with a single purchase. Buyers with any other Mac, a different iMac size or a later year cannot use this kit.
Each module is an unbuffered non ECC 1Rx16 stick without a heat spreader, operating at the standard 1.20 V. The 260 pin SO DIMM keying lines up with the iMac memory door so installation takes minutes and requires no tools. Because the kit uses major brand chips validated for Apple systems, the firmware recognises the memory at full 2400 MHz speed without manual configuration. Systems that need ECC, registered DIMMs or a different pin count will not accept these modules.
The kit replaces the common 8 GB factory configuration by populating all four slots with 4 GB modules, doubling the total capacity. The jump is worthwhile when the current Mac slows down under multiple browser tabs, photo libraries or virtual machines. If the iMac already has 16 GB or more, or if the workload fits comfortably in 8 GB, the upgrade adds no benefit.

The modules run at 2400 MHz with a PC4-19200 data rate, which is the maximum speed supported by the iMac 27-inch Mid 2017 memory controller.
Each 4 GB module uses the standard 260-pin SO-DIMM form factor that matches the four memory slots inside the iMac 27-inch Mid 2017.
Power off the iMac, unplug it, lay the screen face-down on a soft cloth, remove the memory access door, eject any existing modules, insert all four 4 GB sticks until they click, replace the door, then reconnect power.
