16GB DDR3 1866MHz ECC registered RDIMM for Apple Mac Pro Late 2013 cylinder
This 16GB DDR3 1866/1867MHz ECC RDIMM is built for the Apple Mac Pro Late 2013 cylinder model. It matches the MacPro6,1 and A1481 EMC 2630 specifications and works with the listed 3.7GHz Xeon E5-1620v2, 3.5GHz Xeon E5-1650v2, 3.0GHz Xeon E5-1680v2 and 2.7GHz Xeon E5-2697v2 processors. The module runs at 1.50V and uses registered ECC chips on a 240-pin form factor.
It replaces the factory-installed memory in the Mac Pro Cylinder and adds capacity beyond the original configuration. The jump is worth it when workloads exceed the stock amount and the system shows memory pressure during multitasking or rendering. Buyers who need more than four modules or who require non-ECC memory for a different platform cannot use this kit.
The Mac Pro Late 2013 accepts only DDR3 RDIMM modules at 1866/1867MHz with ECC registration. Standard unbuffered DIMMs, higher speeds or different voltages will not be recognised by the firmware. The four-slot architecture caps total memory at the sum of installed modules, so this single 16GB stick contributes toward that ceiling without exceeding the electrical or timing constraints of the platform.

Yes, the module is a bare 240-pin RDIMM without a heat spreader, matching the Mac Pro (Late 2013) memory bay design.
You can add a single 16GB module; the Mac Pro (Late 2013) supports independent population of its four slots.
DDR3 ECC RDIMMs have no scheduled replacement interval; swap only if diagnostics report correctable errors or a module fails.
