16 GB DDR3 SODIMM kit for Mid-2010 MacBook Pro, MacBook, iMac and Mac mini systems
This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR3 1066 MHz SODIMM modules built for select Apple Mac systems. It targets owners of a 2009 iMac, 2010 Mac mini, 2010 MacBook or 2010 MacBook Pro who want to raise the memory ceiling on those machines.
The modules use a 204-pin SO-DIMM edge connector and run at DDR3 1066 (PC3-8500) with a 1.50 V supply. Your Mac must accept unbuffered non-ECC DDR3 SODIMMs at this exact speed and pin count; any other generation or voltage will not fit or function.
Installation consists of opening the memory door or bottom case, releasing the retention clips and seating both modules until they click. The most common issue is inserting only one module or leaving a clip unlatched, which leaves the system seeing half the expected capacity.
