16 GB dual-module DDR3 ECC UDIMM kit at 1866 MHz for Mac Pro Late 2013
This 16GB kit contains two 8GB DDR3 ECC UDIMM modules that run at 1866/1867MHz PC3-14900 and 1.50V. It matches Apple order numbers ME253LL/A, MD878LL/A, MQGG2LL/A and model ID MacPro6,1 (A1481 EMC 2630).
Builders who need registered DIMMs, non-ECC modules, a different pin count, or a memory generation other than DDR3 cannot use this kit. It is validated only for the cylinder Mac Pro with the listed Xeon processors.
The modules are unbuffered ECC UDIMMs on a 240-pin interface at 1.50V. If your system requires a different form factor, voltage, or ECC type, this memory will not install or function.

Power down, open the side panel, release the memory tray latch, insert each 8 GB module firmly until the ejectors click, then reseat the tray and close the case; the step often missed is fully seating both modules before locking the tray back in place.
No routine maintenance is required; the modules are solid-state and covered by a lifetime warranty, so replacement would only be necessary if a module fails or you later upgrade to a higher capacity.
The memory controller on the supported Xeon E5-1620 v2, E5-1650 v2, E5-1680 v2 and E5-2697 v2 CPUs caps the data rate at 1866 MHz, so bandwidth ceiling is reached before thermal or voltage limits.
