32 GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM kit (four 8 GB modules) for 27-inch iMac models from Late 2012 through Mid 2015
This 32 GB kit contains four 8 GB unbuffered SODIMM modules rated at DDR3L 1600 (PC3L-12800) and 1.35 V. It uses major-brand chips in a 2Rx8 configuration and is built to Apple-certified specifications for select iMac models.
The modules match Apple order numbers MD095LL/A, MD096LL/A, ME088LL/A, ME089LL/A, MF125LL/A, MF885LL/A and MF886LL/A and model IDs iMac13,2, iMac14,2 and iMac15,1. Systems requiring ECC registered memory or a different pin count will not accept this kit.
Only Macs designed for this exact voltage, speed and form factor will recognise all four modules. Verify your iMac model ID against the listed compatibles before ordering.

Remove the power cord, press the memory compartment door button, eject the existing modules by pulling the side levers, insert each 8 GB stick until it clicks, then reseat the door before reconnecting power.
No scheduled maintenance is required; the unbuffered non-ECC modules have no moving parts or batteries, so replacement is only necessary if a module fails or you upgrade to a newer Mac.
The DDR3L 1600 MT/s data rate and 2Rx8 organisation set the maximum sustained throughput; thermal throttling in the iMac's compact chassis typically becomes the bottleneck before the memory itself saturates.
