Eight 8 GB DDR3 1333 ECC registered DIMMs add 64 GB to 12-core Mac Pro towers from 2010 and 2012
This 64GB kit contains eight 8GB DDR3 1333 RDIMM modules built for the Apple Mac Pro 12-Core models from 2010 and 2012. It uses ECC registered chips at 1.50V and fits the 240-pin slots in those towers. The kit matches Apple order number MD771LL/A and model ID MacPro5,1.
DDR3 1333 (PC3-10600) registered ECC memory tops out at 1333 MHz on these platforms and cannot run faster without instability. The 240-pin RDIMM form factor is physically incompatible with UDIMM or SO-DIMM slots. Eight modules fill every slot on the 12-Core Mac Pro, leaving no room for further expansion.
Each 8GB module uses a 2Rx4 organisation that the Mac Pro 12-Core memory controller requires for full 64GB operation. Other rank layouts such as 1Rx4 or 2Rx8 will not be recognised at this capacity. Buyers needing a different rank structure must choose another kit.

This kit delivers 64 GB across eight 8 GB modules, filling all slots on the 12-Core Mac Pro (Mid 2010 or Mid 2012) for the maximum supported memory.
The modules run at DDR3 1333 (PC3-10600), matching the native memory bus speed of the 2.4 GHz, 2.66 GHz, 2.93 GHz and 3.06 GHz Xeon processors listed for these systems.
Yes — the 240-pin ECC Registered RDIMM form factor is the exact type required by the Mac Pro 5,1 (A1289 EMC 2314-2 / 2629), and the DDR3 1333 bus caps the peak transfer rate at PC3-10600.
