8GB DDR3L 1600 kit with two 4GB SODIMM modules for compatible Apple MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini models from 2012 to 2015
This 8 GB kit contains two 4 GB DDR3L 1600 SODIMM modules built for specific Apple computers. It fits MacBook Pro 13 inch and 15 inch Mid 2012, iMac 21.5 inch and 27 inch Late 2012 through Mid 2015, and Mac mini Late 2012.
The modules run at 1.35 V without ECC or buffering, using major-brand chips in a 2Rx8 layout. Under continuous load they maintain the rated PC3-12800 bandwidth because the low-voltage DDR3L design keeps power draw and heat within the original thermal envelope of the supported Macs.
Each stick is a standard 204-pin SODIMM with no heat spreader, so it slides directly into the factory memory slots. The only common issue is mixing these sticks with existing modules of different speed or voltage, which can prevent the system from booting or force it to run at the lower common specification.
