The Abus 70IBHB/45 KA padlock uses a rectangular brass body coated in blue vinyl for weather resistance. A 5-pin Abus keyway and stainless-steel shackle provide high-security locking for gates, sheds and storage units. The keyed-alike design means every lock in the set opens with the same KA 6401 key, simplifying key management for multiple entry points.

Keyed-alike convenience limits flexibility

All cylinders share the identical KA 6401 code, so a single lost key compromises every lock in the group. The 5-pin mechanism cannot be rekeyed or upgraded to an interchangeable core, preventing future changes to the key schedule. Buyers who need unique keys per door or the ability to rekey after a security breach should choose a different system.

Simple shackle installation with fixed dimensions

The 13/16 in shackle width and 2 1/2 in clearance fit standard hasps and chain links without modification. Vinyl coating adds thickness, so confirm the shackle hole diameter before mounting.
