Product identity and purpose

The ACCO 47071 is a pressboard report cover sized 11 by 17 inches with a 3 inch capacity. It is designed for students, educators and office workers who need to bind and preserve large-format documents for presentations or filing.

Behaviour under sustained use

The 20 point genuine pressboard construction resists wear when the cover is handled repeatedly in classrooms or offices. Tyvek reinforced hinges maintain flexibility and strength through frequent opening and closing, while the two piece steel fastener adjusts securely to varying content thicknesses over time.

Practical limits of the binding system

The prong clip fastener holds up to 3 inches of material, setting a hard ceiling on the volume of paper that can be bound in a single cover. Holes are spaced 8 1/2 inches center to center, so only paper punched to that specification will fit the mechanism.
