What This Binder Is

The ACCO 54123 is a pressboard hanging data binder sized for 11 x 8-1/2 inch unburst sheets. Dark blue Presstex covers hold up to six inches of continuous-form paper. It is built for offices that archive high-volume printouts or legacy system output.

Build and Mounting

Acrylic-coated covers resist moisture and contain recycled material. Retractable hooks work with single-point or drop-file hanging rails. Flexible nylon posts adjust to five centre-to-centre post spacings from 7 to 10-1/2 inches. Top and bottom loading lets you add or remove sheets without disassembly.

Daily Handling

The coated cover surface wipes clean and resists spills in normal office conditions. No moving parts generate noise during filing or retrieval. Hooks fold flat when the binder sits on a shelf, keeping the profile slim for dense storage.

Questions about this item

How does the 11 x 8-1/2 inch format affect the center post spacing options?

The binder accommodates center posts at 10-1/2, 9, 8-1/2, 8, and 7 inches to match the 11 x 8-1/2 sheet size.

What mounting hardware is required for the retractable storage hooks?

The retractable hooks are built into the binder and work with single-point or drop file hanging systems without extra hardware.

How do I adjust the flexible nylon posts for maximum capacity and which step is often missed?

Slide the posts to the desired post spacing, then lock them in place; the step often missed is ensuring both top and bottom posts are set to the same measurement.
