Product Identity

These ACCO 70014 compressors are metal binding components sold in a box of 100. They serve offices and archives that use two-piece file fasteners with a 2 3/4" center-to-center spacing. The gray compressors lock prong bases into a secure, book-like binding for compact document storage.

Deciding Specification

The critical detail is that this box contains compressors only — no prong bases are included. Buyers who already have compatible bases can replenish the locking half; anyone needing a complete fastener set must source the bases separately.

Accessory Impact

Because the package supplies 100 compressors and nothing else, it reduces reorder frequency for high-volume filing but adds a separate procurement step for the matching bases. The heavy-gauge metal construction ensures each compressor withstands repeated compression cycles without bending.
