Mixed-size NiMH battery pack

This bundle supplies 16 AA cells rated at 2900 mAh, 16 AAA cells rated at 1200 mAh, 8 C cells rated at 6000 mAh and 8 D cells rated at 12000 mAh. All cells use 1.2 volt NiMH chemistry and are suited to households or workplaces that run many different devices from a single stock.

No memory effect and long cycle life

The NiMH chemistry eliminates memory effect so cells can be topped up at any state of charge without capacity loss. Each cell is rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles, reducing the frequency of replacement and the volume of disposable waste.

Simple drop-in replacement

The cells match the physical dimensions of standard alkaline AA, AAA, C and D batteries, so they fit existing compartments without adapters. Users must provide a charger that supports NiMH chemistry; a charger designed only for alkaline or lithium primaries will not recharge these cells. Devices that require the higher 1.5 volt output of fresh alkalines may show reduced runtime or inaccurate battery gauges. Buyers needing 9 volt format or lithium primary chemistry are not served by this pack.

Questions about this item

How many recharge cycles can the 2900 mAh AA cells deliver before they need replacing?

Each AA cell is rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles before capacity drops enough to require replacement.

What voltage sag appears first when the 6000 mAh C cells run continuously in a high-drain device?

The 1.2 V nominal output will dip under sustained heavy load as internal resistance rises with depth of discharge.

Do the 12000 mAh D cells get hot or draw extra power when left in a charger all day?

NiMH chemistry has no memory effect and the cells only accept charge current until full; they do not generate excess heat once terminated.
