Modular Chromebox for Home and Business

The Acer Add-in-One 24 pairs a 23.8-inch FHD IPS monitor with a detachable Chromebox CX15. The box runs Chrome OS on a 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U with 32GB DDR4 and a 128GB SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 panel. Built-in webcam, dual microphones and 4-watt speakers handle video calls out of the box.

Upgrade Path Over Fixed All-in-One

Unlike sealed all-in-one desktops, this design lets you swap the Chromebox module when performance needs change. The jump is worth it if you want to keep the 24-inch display and peripherals while refreshing compute power later. Buyers who need a non-Chrome operating system or discrete graphics should look elsewhere.

Check Mounting and Connectivity First

Verify the monitor stand tilt range of -5 to 25 degrees suits your desk height. Confirm that two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, a micro SD slot and a combo audio jack cover your peripheral set. The 90W power supply and 802.11ax Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 5.3 are integrated into the Chromebox unit.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 7.4 in by 7.75 in Chromebox need behind the 23.8 in monitor?

The Chromebox measures 7.4 in wide, 7.75 in deep and 1.5 in high, so allow at least that depth behind the display plus cable bend radius for the two HDMI and one DisplayPort connections.

Which cable must be seated first to avoid a no-signal error on the 1920 x 1080 IPS panel?

Connect the DisplayPort or HDMI video cable between the Chromebox and the monitor before plugging the 90 W power adapter; the display will not wake if power is applied before the video link.

Can the 32 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM be replaced with a larger module later?

The 32 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM is user-accessible inside the tiny chassis; remove the bottom cover, release the retention clips and swap in another DDR4 SO-DIMM up to the platform maximum.
