Acer Aspire TC-865 business desktop

The Acer Aspire TC-865 is a new business desktop built around a 6-core Intel Core i5-8400 processor with 9 MB L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output through VGA and HDMI ports. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed.

Build integration: memory, storage and ports

The system uses 288-pin DDR4 DIMM slots and supports up to 32 GB of total memory. A DVD-RW drive and an SD card reader provide legacy media access. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth handle wired and wireless connectivity. The 300 W power supply feeds all integrated components; a monitor is not included.

Upgrade path: from older office PCs

This desktop replaces ageing dual-core or quad-core office towers that struggle with multitasking and modern security updates. The six-core CPU and 16 GB of DDR4 remove bottlenecks in spreadsheet work, video conferencing and light content creation. Buyers who need discrete graphics, higher memory capacity or a larger power budget should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much RAM can the Aspire TC865 take before the 32 GB ceiling is reached?

The board supports up to 32 GB of DDR4, so the installed 16 GB leaves room for another 16 GB.

What does the 300 W supply mean for heat and fan noise during long sessions?

A 300 W unit limits sustained draw, so the system stays cooler and the fan runs quieter than higher-wattage towers.

Does the PC ship with a monitor, or must I provide my own display?

No monitor is included; you will need a VGA or HDMI screen to use the system.
