Nitro 16S gaming laptop

The Acer Nitro 16S is a 16 inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor with 10 cores and 20 threads. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Office 2021 licence. The system targets players who want high refresh-rate visuals and AI-accelerated workloads in a portable chassis.

180Hz WQXGA display

The 16 inch panel runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution and 180Hz, delivering sharp motion clarity for competitive titles. Colour volume and brightness suit both gaming and content review. This screen specification is the primary factor when matching the laptop to a user's visual priorities.

Upgrade-ready internals

The supplier opens the factory seal to install the 32GB DDR5 4800 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD before shipment. No further disassembly is required for typical use. Buyers should verify the upgraded components on first boot and keep the original packaging for any warranty claims.

Questions about this item

What does the 180 Hz refresh rate mean for gameplay on the 16-inch WQXGA panel?

The 180 Hz panel refreshes the 2560 x 1600 image up to 180 times per second, reducing motion blur in fast scenes and making cursor movement feel smoother on the 16.0 inch display.

Which external display standard does the HDMI port support, and what resolution ceiling does that impose?

The laptop provides an HDMI port for external monitors; the maximum supported resolution and refresh rate depend on the HDMI version implemented, which is not detailed in the specifications.

What are the exact dimensions and weight I need to allow for in a backpack or mount?

The chassis measures 14.05 x 10.85 x 0.78 inches and weighs 4.81 lbs, so any sleeve or mount must accommodate at least that footprint and thickness.
