Acer Nitro V 15 gaming laptop

This 15.6 inch laptop pairs an Intel Core i5 13420H eight-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 graphics card. It ships with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 licence are pre-installed.

Best for 1080p gaming and creative work

The 165Hz FHD panel and RTX 5050 suit competitive shooters and content creators who need GPU acceleration. Buyers who want a touchscreen, an SD card reader or a fingerprint sensor should consider other models.

16GB RAM and 1TB SSD headroom

Sixteen gigabytes handles modern titles and multitasking comfortably; heavy video editing or virtualisation may need more memory. The one terabyte drive stores a large game library, though expansive 4K media collections will fill it quickly.

Questions about this item

Does the RTX 5050 GPU need an external power brick or does the Thunderbolt 4 port supply enough power?

The RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 graphics runs from the internal 15.6-inch laptop power system; the Thunderbolt 4 port is for peripherals, not for feeding the GPU.

Will my older USB-A 3.0 mouse and keyboard work with the three USB-A 3.2 ports?

Yes, the three USB-A 3.2 ports are backward compatible with USB-A 3.0 and 2.0 devices, so existing mice and keyboards connect without adapters.

How can I confirm the 165Hz panel is actually running at 165Hz after Windows 11 setup?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 165 Hz for the 1920 x 1080 FHD screen.
